My work at the 195th RHA Exhibition in Dublin

I am incredibly honoured to announce that my work has been selected for this year’s Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) Annual Exhibition. The RHA Exhibition is one of Ireland's most prestigious showcases, celebrated for highlighting the best contemporary art in the country, I am so pleased my work will be part of it!

My piece 'Naked Essence' depicts a mandarin I personally peeled, revealing its inspiring beauty. In creating this work, I aimed to capture the elegance found in everyday objects, drawing attention to the subtle wonders that often go unnoticed in our fast-paced lives.

For that reason, by playing with light, colour, and contrast, I wanted to give the mandarin an effect that makes it appear as if it is truly real and almost coming out of the canvas.

In light of the distressing messages of violence that permeate much of our modern world, I believe it is essential to celebrate the beauty that exists in the simplicity of day-to-day life!
