The Boyne in Threads

Daniela has recently completed three panels of the collaborative embroidery project 'The Boyne in Threads'.

This incredible community-led initiative brought together local embroiderers from Dunshaughlin and the surrounding areas to create a stunning tapestry that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the River Boyne area.

As the illustrator for 'The Boyne in Threads', Daniela was honoured to provide reference illustrations for the embroiderers to work from. The vision was to showcase the unique features, beautiful buildings, and fascinating artefacts of the area, while also exploring the captivating legends and myths that permeate the region's folklore.

The first two panels, were proudly presented during Heritage Week 2024 at Dunshaughlin Library, where the work done left a lasting impression on all who attended.
